Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham deserve criticism after Colchester defeat

Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham believes pressure from the supporters of the club can provide a call and deserve to obtain criticism this season.
Tottenham have won only one of the last seven games in all competitions and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday after losing on penalties to League Two side Colchester United.
Following a beat to Leicester on Saturday and also Pochettino insists that his players deserve to face scrutiny following their performances spurs slipped into seventh in the Premier League.
He explained:”Throughout my almost five years it has been compliments for Tottenham. How good we are, how we work in different ways, how nice is your coach, how fine is your club.
“Now when we deserve to be criticised, we will need to accept this. We need to accept the criticism, if we don’t get the outcome people anticipate.
“The people can make you realise that people maybe should wake up in some thing, to evolve, to find different approaches to evolve.
“I am quite relaxed since you can’t live forever in joy. Downs and up happen. In soccer, over in life.”
Pochettino included:”The fans are always right to criticise. The fans are the only folks that you need to accept criticism from and not whine. They are constantly right to share emotions and their feelings.
“The lovers are psychological, they would like to win, and they love the club, the lovers love the players and sometimes the coaching staff and their manager. Sometimes. But clearly, you could say nothing.
“They keep alive the game that is so beautiful. It is due to the fans that we’re here. That is the reason they’re always right to present their view.”
Pochettino insists that the club’s recent dip in form isn’t his period as Tottenham manager.
“No. The most difficult was the first season,” said the Argentine, once asked if he is facing his greatest test since coming in north London.
“Then there were just a couple seasons that were rough in some phases but I am quite relaxed. I become more comfortable in those’difficult’ minutes.
“In the end it’s just 1 result. Against Leicester, we needed to win. Three points more and we are next in the table.
“Then we’re talking about fantastic season, fantastic performance, what quality gamers, what amazing coaching staff, we are winning games and are in the best . It’s just 1 game.
“The line is really thin so that it may one way or the other. Sometimes in football you don’t have the luck you deserve.”
