Ashes 2019: England batsman Joe Denly confirms he will open alongside Rory Burns with Jason Roy dropping to No 4

Joe Denly has Verified That he’ll Start for England in the fourth Ashes Test match at Old Trafford with Jason Roy Falling down to # 4.

The 33-year-old all-rounder transferred down in his next red-ball game in St Lucia to No 3, hitting on his inaugural Test half-century at the second innings to help put up a victory.

“With Jason Roy from the team we’re a better team and with him coming in at four, ideally with the new ball worn off and myself along with Rory Burns doing our job at the top, it allows him to come and play his own way. He is a excellent player to get there.”
